Student buy-in encourages students to take ownership or interact profoundly in their learning. Allowing students to be part of the assessment gives them ownership of the entire learning procedure. An educator can emphasize growth. Polintisky (2019) suggests that it is relative to regularly demonstrate to students how to become better learners, particularly by embracing mistakes. Responding to feedback and making changes based on student suggestions communicates that educators value student ideas and perspectives. Learners need choice, flexibility and positive relationships, which are the cornerstones of ensuring that students of all ages know that they are the most critical stakeholders in the school and the owners of their learning.
